Remarks & Notes
Endangered species
The BB 15000 were and still are very good 25KV-50Hz locomotives. Many have been modified for push-pull service and many more have got new liveries. They are limited to 160 km/h and have never been allowed for 200 km/h because most recent BB 26000 series provide this service. Few of the 15000's still remain in their as-built "coup de soleil" (sunbeam) or "parrot" red and orange livery. They will not last for long as the days of non push-pull trains are coming to an end. These engines and livery typically represent the SNCF of the 1970's. Catch them while you can, on the Marne Valley services out of Paris Gare de L'Est and Paris Saint Lazare to Caen services.
