With just the dying embers of the autumn afternoon’s sun remaining, and running ahead of schedule at 17:12hrs, 18-434 & 18-435 are seen here negotiating the difficult section through the top of Boughton (steep gradients / tight curves and turn backs) as they start the next stage of the long drop down into Pietermaritzburg with a Durban bound Shosholoza Meyl "Daylight Sitter". Shosholoza Meyl have decided to pull the plug on the Daylight Sitter service between Johannesburg and Durban from the 1st April 2014.
