Remarks & Notes
American European Express, the predecessor to American Orient Express, was a luxury passenger service founded by William Spann, a Florida entrepreneur, in 1989. Rostering a pair of Geeps and a set of passenger cars, the luxury service lasted until the late 2000s. Operating from Chicago to Washington D.C., one of the Geeps and a MARC F-unit head south on the former Pennsylvania Panhandle at Cal Park Junction. Tom Golden photo.
