| Steam returns to to the Buchanan Branch for the first time in 55 years... Silhouetted against the unique NKP style signals at Lyn Camp, Southern Railway No. 630 leads a public excursion from Grundy, Va. to Devon, W.Va. along NS' former N&W Buchanan Branch... This is the first time steam has returned to the Buchanan Branch since the downfall of coal-fired revenue trains in the late 1950's. The Grundy excursions were part of Norfolk Southern's 21st Century Steam program. Thanks to NS and TVRM for continuing to provide unique passenger excursions across the system. |
