| UP7952 is seen here shortly after it rounded Arnold’s Loop with the GBPILV-09 (Grain-Peoria, IL-SJVR Rwy at Biola Jct. CA). The scene is in eastern Nevada on the Shafter sub. The grade here is 1% on this ex. Western Pacific trackage in the Toano Mountains. Silver Zone Pass is several miles ahead. If you look closely directly above the 3rd grain car and down in the shadowed cut you can barely see the rear DPU approaching the loop. |
