Remarks & Notes
An Australian in South Africa.....this ex-Queensland Railways class 1720 Clyde GL18C Co-Co now belongs to RRL Grindrod and is currently based at Welkom to work the Harmony Gold ore traffic. On a winter afternoon, no.1773 is backing its train of empties down to the Friedesheim yard over Transnet Freight Rail track. It will then run forward over mine trackage, seen on the right behind the trees, to Nyala shaft to load waste ore.
