Remarks & Notes 
Alco's largest diesel engine. Only two A's and one B unit were built. All for UP. This loco had an output of 5500 hp which could have given an edge over GE's 5000 hp U50 and EMD's DD35. But Alco's lacked reliability. No photographer listed on slide.
