Remarks & Notes
7 days a week Browns Yard in Sayreville/Old Bridge is supplied by a daily transfer train from Oak Island, Newark. During the week the train re-crews at night to return empties back. However, on the weekends there is no re-crew and so the locomotives run light back to Oak Island. Here a pair of EMD SD45-2s (NS 1702 and 1705) are about to enter the 330 ft. long central span of the Raritan River Drawbridge built back in 1908 by the PRR and CNJ to serve the NY&LB.
