Photographer- my Father- Guy Lisowski. Amtrak's Boston to Washington DC "Patriot" derailed at 2:40 PM while traveling 70 mph 10 minutes after leaving 30th Street station in the southwest Philadelphia neighborhood of Gray's Ferry. Six of the nine cars derailed, with 3 turned on their sides. The AP report says that one woman suffered a broken leg and that a man was briefly trapped in one of the cars. My Father was on the way to work at Boeing in Eddystone and heard about the accident on the radio. Always the camera carrying railfan he stopped by the area I'm guessing within a couple hours of the accident time.
