It's late in the evening at the west end of Defiance, OH on a beautiful spring evening. The only sounds are the passing traffic on the nearby county road 424, until the distant sound of a locomotive horn breaks the rather quiet scene. It's a westbound stack train, led by a CSX C40-9W, heading toward interchange in Chicago. For a moment, the sound of squealing axles and wheel sets echos through the fields, and, as quick as it began, it's over, and the peace and quiet return.
