Beach goers head home from the Jersey Shore on a direct train from Bay Head to NYC. The train is traveling across the Raritan River Drawbridge, and past a retired Gerdau Ameristeel Steel Mill switcher. It looks that this switcher has been sitting here for 6 years now, click here . If there was any hope for this switcher to come out of retirement it was likely dashed by the storm surge of Sandy, which reached the top of the bridge.
