Remarks & Notes
A pair of SD45Rs brings Southern Pacific train CIPTT (City of Industry CA to Portland OR Trailers) through Dike, the SP's name for Devore, California. The train is made up exclusively of Swift Trucking Roadrailers - highway trailers that can convert to railcars. The lead engine, SP 7487, was rebuilt to an SD45R from SP SD45 9070 when it was rebuilt and upgraded at SP's Sacramento Shops in December 1983 - but, like so many SP diesels by this late date (May 31st, 1996), SP 7487 is looking pretty worn externally.
