Remarks & Notes
An Australian in South Africa.....this ex-Queensland Railways class 1720 Clyde GL18C Co-Co now belongs to RRL Grindrod and is currently based at Welkom to work the Harmony Gold ore traffic. On a sunny winter morning, no. 1762 ducks under the R30 road bridge, hauling a loaded train from Nyala shaft over mine trackage to Friedesheim. From there it will continue on Transnet Freight Rail tracks to Welkom.
