Remarks & Notes
Having reached the end of the operating day, the last bio-diesel powered trains have started up Mount Washington and the Manchester Locomotive Works cog steamer #9, prepares to head slightly upgrade to be switched out and stored for the night. The 1908-built locomotive - named Waumbek - was the first horizontal boilered locomotive to have the cab on the same plane as the boiler. For a short time, this locomotive burned bio-diesel, but was reconverted to coal.
