Canadian National ES44DC #2263 leads Norfolk Southern train 154 past the Magnolia Street Station in downtown Spartanburg, SC. The station was built in 1904 and served the Southern Railway for nearly 75 years. Today, the station is home to the Hub City Railroad Museum. The museum features restored Southern Railway bay window caboose X3115, which was built in Spartanburg at the Southern's Hayne Car Shops in 1947. Spartanburg was dubbed the "Hub City" by a Charleston reporter due to the fact that on a map, all the rail lines coming into Spartanburg looked like the spokes on a bicycle hub.
