| Southern 4501 starts its trek to Summerville on the TVRM mainline. The 1858 Missionary Ridge tunnel covers the 103-year old locomotive in darkness, with its headlight becoming the only visible portion of it. In this case, the "light at the end of the tunnel" isn't the light someone on foot would want to see, but it is the light that TVRM volunteers and railfans alike have wanted to see for the last 18 years. |
