Tucked at the head of the Alma Branch, Sprouse Creek GP30 awaits its fate under the once booming loadout at Rawl Sales, near Matewan. Sign of the times in the Appalachian coalfields, as there's nary a soul around. Ground Zero for a bitter strike in 1984 pitting the UMWA against Massey Coal....
