This northbound excursion on the Clinchfield is essentially a dead-head move back to Erwin. That morning, the train took a load of patrons to Spartanburg for an overnight stay. At Spruce Pine, engineer Ed Hatcher stops long enough for a portrait in front of the Spruce Pine depot. FP7 number 200 is along to provide steam to the train.
