Amtrak's special move of 18 Viewliner II baggage cars - enroute from Elmira, New York to Albany-Rensselaer, NY on the first leg of a three-day trek to Miami, Florida - is seen southbound passing the CPF-480 (just barely visible above the first two cars) signals enroute back to Schenectady, New York after a wye move on Canadian Pacific Railway's Freight Sub and Canadian Connector. The special - AMTK symbol 844-17 - is led by P42-9DC #42 and P40-8 #822.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
