Rio Grande SD50s No. 5506, 5509, and 5512 lead the hot RODVF through Lakota Junction on Feb. 23, 1997. The Union Pacific had reassigned the D&RGW SD50 fleet from the Tehachapi helper pool to former Rio Grande rails between Salt Lake City and Denver.
