The gradient Hinckley Branch travels through just a few small villages along the Kennebec River on its way from the SAPPI Somerset mill to Waterville, Maine. On February 23, 2004, GRS GP9 72 and GP9 45 lead 64 cars on the westerly trek through Shawmut.
