| McCloud River Railroad #25 rests at the depot in Rockaway Beach after a run up from Garibaldi for the Oregon Coast Scenic Railway. This is one fine looking Alco 2-6-2, and it's nice to see that this 89 year old movie star is alive and well. That's right, movie star. This was the engine that almost smoked Vern and Gordie in the 1986 movie "Stand by Me". In fact, this is approximately the view they would have had about the time they jumped off near the end of the trestle. |
