| An almost step back in time... Norfolk Southern's Virginian Railway SD70ACe is framed by the former Virginian electric catenary at Alpoca as a set of motors return light to the Virginian yard at Elmore. This is only the second time NS' Virginian heritage locomotive has returned to home rails in southern West Virginia. Soon, the heritage EMD SD70ACe will lead a cut of 75 coal loads from Elmore to Clark's Gap, almost reliving the days of Virginian electrics, though only with modern day diesels. |
