The view from the old footbridge, as 18-291, outward bound from Durban with a tanker / mixed train, passes through Rosetta Station in the KwaZulu Natal Midlands. Three to four decades ago stations like this one were kept in pristine condition throughout South Africa and they were magical places to visit or pass through! Those days are sadly gone now, trains don't stop here anymore and most of the beautiful station buildings have been vandalised, gutted or totally flattened.
