Metro-Vickers Co+Co electrics 4622, 4626 and 4625 have taken over from diesel locomotives that brought No.8326 Up Dubbo speedfreight into Lithgow before dawn, and are now awaiting a path through the morning peak hour over the Blue Mountains to Sydney. Later that week, major bush fires would close the railway through the Blue Mountains.
