Former NSW Government Railways 'Pacific' locomotive 3801 races out of the Long Island Tunnel and onto the Hawkesbury River Bridge on a special trial run. This was the engine's first run following the Cowan Bank accident of May the previous year, when a Intercity passenger train collided with the rear carriage of a stalled train hauled by 3801.
