Remarks & Notes

Modest fresh snow and bitter cold forced CNW maintenance crews to drive out from Altoona to Rodell siding to shovel and pick ice out of the spring switches so train 415 could go "in the hole" for a meet with train 406. CNW 6812 on the point waits patiently for the crew to finish, then will tuck in for the meet. The spring switches allowed CNW trains to exit the sidings without a second stop to throw the switch.
