The weather on Saturday was as sombre as my mood. Earlier that morning, I'd had the heartbreaking task of bringing an end to the life of my wonderful dog. 'Jess' had been my faithful companion on most of my railway forays over the last ten years. So 'Jess' - this one's for you.
