A late delivery by Canadian Pacific Railway pushed a normally nocturnal 82-car ethanol train into a daylight run on Vermont Rail System's Clarendon & Pitsford Mainline between Whitehall, New York and Rutland, Vermont on March 6. Nearly every paint scheme currently operating on the Vermont Rail System is represented on this 8-unit consist at West Rutland, Vermont, with GMTX SD60 9000 leading VTR GP40-3 312, GMRC GP40 304, CLP GP40-2 306, CLP GP38 203, VTR GP40-2 307, GMTX GP38-2 2208, and VTR (Washington County RR paint) 202.
Crazy pool power consists, colorful gatherings of locomotives at a diesel service area, or a mixture of colorful locomotives in storage lines. A minimum of four different paint schemes required.
