The painting of locomotives in unusual liveries has its supporters and detractors. Personally, I'm glad that we're still able to see steam out on the 'big railway' no matter what coat is being worn! In any case, 'Leander' looked absolutely stunning in her glistening lined-out black livery as she charged away from Settle in perfect, cool Spring sunshine gaining the momentum she will need for the steep grades ahead on the Settle and Carlisle route.
