| A Conrail Metuchen-based local shoves across the busy six-lane U.S. 1 grade crossing with a splat (shove platform) and a single CSX 50' box car. Evening rush-hour has just begun and a line of traffic is visible in the distance. The cars are held at a traffic light that has been preempted by the grade crossing signals (this feature is no doubt appreciated by crews). The train is headed for the Upper Yard adjacent to the nearby Raritan Center industrial park. |
