| A few days prior to National Train Day on May 9th, Southern Railway GP30 2601 belonging to the North Carolina Transportation Museum and Southern Railway SD40 3170 belonging to Norfolk Southern rest in the yard on the museum grounds. Norfolk & Western Class J steam locomotive 611 belonging to the Virginia Museum of Transportation in Roanoke Va also makes an appearence.
