Remarks & Notes
Out in the vastness of the Nebraska Sandhills, Cow Country, BN 5088 with Santa Fe partner leads another string of coal empties west towards Alliance and the Powder River mines. This line was once the Burlington's "Long Branch" from Lincoln, NE to Huntley, MT. Its rural nature rapidly transformed with the advent of the coal business.
