We are out in the breakdown lane on a highway bridge in Gilead, Maine, it's pitch dark, a moonless night, little traffic. I'm hand holding the Ricoh GR as SLR train 394 behind a trio of GP 40's is heard on final approach. The sound effects are wonderful but, only headlights are seen as 394 comes across the bridge! They slowly light up the tree branches on the right providing my frame of reference to where I want 3004 out there. I press the shutter and the scene is lit up by the flash lighting! In an instant pitch dark returns. The GR's rear screen shows success at 00:42!
