Remarks & Notes
After almost 40 years of service, the days of the High Speed Trains on the former Western Region are now numbered.Within a few years, electrification will bring brand new stock, and these reliable workhorses will be sent elsewhere.Power car 43031 was introduced in September 1976,and since then has spent its entire life working services in and out of London. Here,it heads a Cheltenham to London Paddington service, and has just taken the Stroud Valley branch at Standish Junction,a few miles beyond Gloucester.
