On November 10, 1991, a set of NS pushers is in the clear at Watkins, VA for an approaching CSX unit coal train. The NS units had pushed a coal train that has already departed and is now past Gate City, two blocks ahead of the CSX man. Once the CSX train passes the signal, the Knoxville dispatcher will line the NS pushers out to head west to Andover. The three GP38 pushers on the CSX train will then cut off, and follow west on his blocks to Big Stone Gap, where they'll regain their own trackage back to Loyall, Kentucky. This dance was replayed frequently every day back then, but not very often now
