I've photographed Southern, L&N, NS, Seaboard System and CSX trains crossing this bridge for over 50 years, so here's one more to add to the pile. This is an eastbound NS coal train, dropping downgrade from Sunbright to Natural Tunnel. The bridge--named for an infamous bootleg liquor spot on the far left (closed many years ago)--once had timber approaches and an open deck. In the early '80s it was upgraded with steel bents and a ballast deck.
Looking back down memory lane at the last generation of GE spartan cab which includes the six axles C series and four axles B series throughout the various of Class 1 Railroads in North America throughout the years.
