On Friday, 31st July, 2015, Queensland Rail celebrated its 150th birthday. To celebrate, a special steam train trip was run in peak hour from Ipswich to Brisbane Central for regular commuters to catch. Following its arrival at Central, it continued to Roma Street where it was put on public display for the day alongside the recently restored platform 3 station building, where a rail heritage exhibition was held through the week. That afternoon, the steam train ran an enthusiast trip back to Ipswich. That run is seen here, coasting downgrade approaching Redbank.
