On a cool and stormy September night, Amtrak's westbound Southwest Chief comes to a stop to do its station work at Flagstaff. The city of Flagstaff is one of the few towns in the United Stations that has dimmed lighting around the city; reducing light pollution. As a result, you can stand in parking lights and still see a good amount of stars in the sky.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
