After receiving a track authority from the NS West End Dispatcher from Knoxville, TN, the Atlanta North-End Dispatcher give the light for NS 125 (Knoxville,TN-Macon,GA) to proceed off the NS I-Line to the congested NS Atlanta North-End. On today NS 125 was rather interest with the recently acquired ex: UP SD9043MAC at the lead of the massive junk train. The NS I-Line was once a fairly busy secondary connection line which started from Cleveland, TN on the NS West-End Div. and ran about 14 miles south to Cohutta, GA where the line would connect with the busy Atlanta North-End. The main traffic that ran through here were mostly coal bucket that were coming from West Virginia, and eastern Kentucky that would head south for power plants in Georgia, and you would get the low volume of junk trains that would use this line. Unfortunately the coal traffic had slowed down drastically and the traffic has drop from 10 to 15 trains a day 3 to 4 train at the max, with NS 125, and counterpart train NS 126 being the normal junk freight that run the line daily, occasionally you'll get a schedule coal bucket that would come down this line from the the coal country of West Virginia but that a rarity now these day.
