| A rare sight: MRL SD70ACe's in Idaho! Despite Montana Rail Link's mainline extending nearly 40 miles into Idaho and then crews running another 50+ miles over BNSF trackage to Washington, it is very rare to see MRL power in Idaho, especially now that blue SD45's are no longer on the road freights going to Spokane and Pasco. Thus we were very pleased to get the chance to chase a MRL-powered unit talc train all the way across the 4th Subdivision to this final shot along Lake Pend Oreille. By the time the end of the train rolled past, the sun had dropped below the mountains to the west. |
