Deep in the West Virginia mountains, a trio of six axle EMD's shove hard against the rear of eastbound hill run U87 as they cross the former Virginian Railway Viaduct over the community of Covel. This trestle has carried many coal trains over the years, but that will soon end, as on October 1st the lower Princeton Deepwater District will be mothballed, due to the condition of these very trestles.
