Remarks & Notes
X 2 ("X2000") of the SJ as train 425 from Stockholm to Göteborg is crossing the 532 meter long Årstabron (Årsta bridge) from the isle Södermalm to the south mainland. The bridge, on its completion in 1929 the longest bridge in Sweden, was designed by the architect Cyrillus Johansson (1884–1959) and the engineers Ernst Nilsson (1874–1946) and Salomon Kasarnowsky (1887–1960). It has often been compared to a classical Roman aqueduct, and is today declared a historical landmark.
