Remarks & Notes
"Survivor in the Sun" One of the only two PATH cars to survive the fall of the World Trade Center, PA-3 #745, basks in the midday sun at the Branford Trolley Museum. Car 745 was parked in the PATH station under the World Trade Center on the morning of Sept. 11, 2001. On Feb. 22, 2002, the subway car was pulled from a cast-iron tunnel by cable and lifted by crane onto a truck. It was taken to Hangar 17 at Kennedy International Airport, where other surviving items were stored. On August 6th, 2015 the car was trucked to the Shore Line Trolley Museum with a ceremonial arrival. 745 is now currently in the process of being restored to running condition.
