Remarks & Notes
Amtrak train 8, The Empire Builder heads over the Ballard draw bridge and out of Seattle with a triple header for power and plenty of head end business in this 1994 view. At this time Amtrak was soliciting express and certain time sensitive freight, so the Empire Builder was a glorified mixed train. Quite different than today's single unit and seven car consist that leaves Seattle daily.
