Remarks & Notes
Constructed in 1899, South Station is the largest railroad station in Greater Boston serving Amtrak and the MBTA. Located at the intersection of Atlantic Ave and Summer street in Dewey Square, this magnificent structure is a bold icon with hints of Neoclassical architecture. Inspired by London's Big Ben clock, the clock on top of the main head house is the largest operating hand-wound clock mechanism in New England.

A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
