Remarks & Notes |
The two 0-4-0 STT "Small England" locomotives "Palmerston" and "Prince" are rounding the loop of Dduallt with a long row of empty slate dollies from Porthmadog back to Blaenau Ffestiniog, while 2-4-0 STT "Linda" is leaving the crossing station with a passenger train bound for Porthmadog.. The "Small England" locomotives were built in 1864 by George England and Co. for the 597 mm gauge Ffestiniog Railway. "Linda" was built in 1893 by Hunslet Engine Co. as 0-4-0 STT for the Penrhyn Quarry Railway and came to the Ffestiniog Railway in 1962. |
