| Class 33 (400), 33-491, was on shunt duty at De Aar in the Northern Cape when I visited in December 2010. Built in 1969 for South African Railways by General Electric as GE U20C, this locomotive did work in neighbouring Zambia on one or more ocassions around 1988/9. |
