Connecticut Southern's resident NECR unit heads up northbound hauler CSO-1, which forwards traffic between CSX's West Springfield Yard and their disconnected operation down at Cedar Hill Yard in the New Haven, CT area. The jointed rail here was the Hartford departure yard section of Cedar Hill in New Haven Railroad days. The lashup for today's train also included high-nose GP38 2038, CSX GP40-2 6226, and CSX genset 1314. The CSX units were no doubt headed over to Selkirk for maintenance.
