Remarks & Notes
As the sun sets behind the front range of the Rockies, a westbound Union Pacific coal train negotiates Big 10 Curve between Rocky and Eisele (formerly Clay), Colorado. The City of Denver can be seen in the upper right in this scene taken late in the afternoon of December 5, 2014. A former Southern Pacific AC4400CW leads the train, now numbered UP 6279.
